Outside shoes are not permitted in the pool hall/shower areas.

Appropriate clothing must be worn at all times. Footwear must be worn outside the pool hall & changing village.

Never, ever leave the facility when your child’s lesson is in progress.

Photography is not permitted in the facility without the express permission on the General Manager, in advance of your visit.

Lockers are available during your visit to store belongings using a £1 coin. Any items left in the cubicles will be put into lost property, then disposed with under our policy.

To keep the quality of our pool water high you must shower before entering the pool.

Medical conditions affecting participation must be confirmed on booking or when identified.

The General Manager reserves the right to change the programme at short notice. Any changes will be made with the minimum disruption and credits/refunds will be offered when a cancellation is made by WNPS.

Our staff may refuse someone access to the swimming pool or ask them to leave a lesson/pool hall if they feel they present a safety risk to themselves or others.

The decision of any member of the management team will be final in any matter of dispute.

All bookings are non-transferable. For group lessons, only the person named on the booking may attend. For private lessons, 1 pre named reserve per course will be permitted (this reserve has no rights over the booking/re-enrollment).

Private lessons can accommodate a maximum of 2 if of the same ability.

The General Manager reserves the right to change a teacher at any time during the course or session. Refunds will not apply.

Group and Private Lessons Cancellation Policy

Should you cancel 7 days or more before the course commences, we will issue a refund but deduct a fee of £10 per course refund. Cancellations within 7 days of course commencement are non refundable unless WNPS are able to re-sell your space. The refund will be subject to a £10 admin charge. If you request a refund within the first 2 weeks of the course, this can only be given if we re-sell the place; the refund will be given for the remaining lessons from the next lesson after the date we re-sell and will be subject to a £10 administration charge.


Intensive Lessons cancellations

For Intensive lessons should you cancel 2 weeks or more before the course commencing, we will issue a refund but deduct a 20% administration charge. Cancellations within 7 days of course commencement are non refundable unless WNPS are able to re-sell you space. The refund will be subject to a 20% administration charge. Cancellations at the start or during the course are non refundable.


Requests for refunds/credits relating to missed lessons

WNPS is unable to make credits/refunds for absence due to medical conditions, changes to work commitments or other reasons for not being able to attend the course as a part or a whole. We are aware ha missing a couple of lessons and not being able to get a refund/credit can be irritating, but unfortunately our costs remain the same, whether or not everyone is present.


Refunds/Credits for Sessions

All sessions are non refundable with the exception of Aquanatal in the event of the birth of your child before your next booking(s). Any session can be transferred to alternative date no less than 24hrs prior to commencement of the session.


Waiting Lists for Courses

If a customer on the waiting list declines more than one offer of a suitable place they will be removed from the list.



Admissions Policy

WNPS would like all of our customers to enjoy their experiences at our facility. We therefore request that all customers abide by the admissions policy and terms and conditions of use.

All our Lifeguards hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and are subject to regular training and testing. Please follow their instructions for a safe and enjoyable visit.

Users who suffer from a known serious medical condition or who are injured are advised to inform WNPS staff before entering the water.

Children under the age 8 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Children’s use of the pool ratios are as follows:

  • Under 4’s – 1 Adult to 1 Child
  • Under 8’s – 1 Adult to 2 Children
  • Over 8’s – No Adult Company required
  • A recognised age for an Adult is 16 years of age

Babies and toddlers are required to wear appropriate swim nappies. WNPS advocates the use of the double nappy system. This is wearing a waterproof swimming nappy with a swim nappy cover worn over the top. Any baby or toddler suffering from vomiting or diarrhoea should not be taken swimming until clear of symptoms for 48 hours

Identity cards including, student cards, staff cards, WNPS membership cards and any till receipts must be produced by users on the request of Wales National Pool Swansea staff.  Failure to produce a card will result in the user being charged the full rate for usage of the facility.  Failure to produce a receipt may result in the user being re-charged.  A charge of £5.00 per card will be made to the user for replacements of lost membership cards.

The last admission ticket for swimming will be sold 20 minutes prior to the session closure. No tickets will be issued after this time.

All personal belongings must be left in the refundable lockers provided and are left at owner’s risk. WNPS will not be liable for any losses. Items left in cubicles will be removed and placed in lost property. Locker keys must not be removed from the facility. Lost keys will be subject to a charge.

Changing is not permitted in the pool hall or spectator seating area.

Clothing worn in the pools must ideally be designed for use in a swimming pool, or used exclusively for us  e in a swimming pool and be fit for purpose; be of suitable material; not offend decency; and be hygienic, safe and unlikely to put either the user or others at risk.

All jewellery / watches must be removed before entering pool side.

Non-swimmers are not permitted to use the 50m pool or 25m split due to the depth of water.

Diving is not allowed in the training pool or off the blocks in the 50m pool during public swimming times

Please follow the safe lane swimming guidelines below:-

  • Follow the direction indicted on the lane board
  • Keep close to the lane rope/side of pool of the lane you are using
  • Be aware of the swimmers around you
  • Ensure you are swimming in the correct lane for your ability/speed
  • If necessary allow space for faster swimmers to pass you or if at the end of a lane allow a faster swimmer to go ahead
  • If you are passing a fellow swimmer do so considerately
  • If taking a rest then allow space for other swimmers to pass or turn
  • Swimming in an aggressive manner, or lane blocking is not acceptable. Once an individual has received a warning from member of WNPS staff, if the behaviour persists, they will be asked to leave and no refund will be given

Fins and paddles may only be used in designated training lanes. Times are set aside for fins and paddles use however additional lanes may be allocated on an ad-hoc basis if available. Please ask a member of WNPS staff if you wish to use find and/or paddles outside of these times.

Swimming goggles and training snorkels may be used however facemasks, snorkels or other full facial masks are not permitted in public swimming sessions.

Do not sit on the lane ropes

No glass is permitted on poolside e.g. glass water bottles, perfume bottles etc.

WNPS staff may refuse a person permission to enter the swimming pool, or may ask a person to leave if it is felt they present a safety hazard to themselves or other users.

WNPS does not permit smoking anywhere on-site including the Car Park.

In the interest of the comfort and wellbeing of all our users, WNPS does not permit the use of E-cigarettes anywhere within the facility.

No alcohol or drugs are permitted on the pool premises and any user under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused admission.

Eating and drinking is only permitted in designated café and vending areas and only for items bought in the café.

Drivers must adhere to the speed limit of 15mph in the WNPS car park.

Vehicles must be parked in designated parking spaces of WNPS pay & display car park and display a valid ticket or permit.

Parking/waiting is not permitted in the Emergency Vehicles Bays, the rear service yard on payments or verges and on double yellow lines.

In accordance with “WNPS Child and Vulnerable Adults Protection Policy”, the use of photographic equipment/taking of unauthorised photography is not permitted anywhere within WNPS. Permission must be obtained by the General Manager prior to any photography / filming within the facility.

Should you hear an alarm please follow instructions from WNPS staff.

To help us maintain the best possible water quality, please use the toilet, ensure you’ve washed your hands remove excess make up and take a shower before entering the water.

Please refrain from swimming for 48hrs after clear of symptoms if you have suffered from vomiting or diarrhoea.

If you have been diagnosed are have been tested for Cryptosporidium or Giardia please refrain from swimming for 14 days after being clear of symptoms or unless the test is negative.

If you have any issues/concerns please speak to a member of WNPS staff.

WNPS management reserve the right to change the programme at short notice.

WNPS management reserve the Right to refuse admission to any person at any time.

The decision of any member of the WNPS Management Team will be final in any matter of dispute.
