National Family Week is back (30 May – 5 June 2011) and promises to be even bigger and better with a fun-filled week of activities, events, money saving offers and competitions for the whole family to enjoy. Now in its third year, National Family Week is the largest celebration of families and family life in the UK. This year over 6,000 family-friendly events and activities will take place all across the UK during the week and Wales National Pool Swansea is proud to be part of this great family initiative. Between 30^th May and 5^th June 2011, Wales National Pool Swansea will be providing families in Swansea with a ½ price family ticket for fun-packed recreation and splash and play sessions out in support of National Family Week 2011. So don’t miss out on this opportunity for a great time with your nearest and dearest.

The average family spends just 49 minutes a day together according to a poll commissioned by National Family Week in 2010 so it’s time to shine the spotlight on spending time together as a family and highlight the importance of this. Wales National Pool Swansea would like to invite families from in and around Swansea to join us and do just that! Swimming is not just a great exercise but also great fund and an ideal activity for families to enjoy together and our recreation and splash and play sessions are ideal for this. National Family Week 2011 – Connecting Families.

Wales National Pool Swansea has teamed up with Swansea University Sports Centre to offer a great value gym anbd swim membership package!. Thsi includess use of the Swansea University Gym and both pools at the Wales National Pool Swansea. In additional Wales National Pool Swansea offers a 10% discount to all members on swim shop items and Aqua School sessions.

The annual membership fee is £460.00, alternaltivey the monthly direct debit can be arranged for £40.00.

Jazz swims at the Wales National Pool Swansea as part of the ITC and is a talented athlete with a bright future. The Commonwealth Games in India are quickly approaching in October 2010, so keep a look out for Jazz Carlin and all other Welsh Swimmers. Wales National Pool would like to congratulate Jazz on this occasion and wish Team Wales the best of luck in India.

This summer, WNPS has a range of courses and sessions, to help you get more enjoyment from swimming. Our new Adult and Children Snorkelling courses allow you and your family to learn the basic techniques of snorkelling – more ways to have fun at the beach!

We’ve also got Adult Water Confidence Beginner and Improver courses for those looking to further develop their swimming ability.

New for 2010 is our kids Aqua Club – where they can stay fit and fun every day of the week trying out mini water polo, Rookies Lifeguard, Snorkelling and Water Basketball. Some of us just simply need to brush up here and there, so why not try our Adult Front Crawl Breathing class, a two day course to help you get the most out of swimming for fun and fitness.
